Product Description: The GYTC8S optical cable features single-mode or multi-mode fiber ribbons housed within loose tubes made from high-modulus polyester material, with the tubes filled with a water-resistant compound. At the cable’s center lies a metallic strength member, around which the loose tubes (along with filling strands) are twisted to form a compact, circular cable core. Gaps within the core are completely filled with water-blocking material, and the assembly is then longitudinally wrapped with plastic-coated steel tape (PSP). Finally, the entire structure is integrated into an 8-shaped polyethylene jacket, reinforced with steel wires. This product is designed for self-supporting aerial installations.
Product Standard: YD/T 1155-2011
Applicable to: Pipelines, Overhead Structures
