On the shores of Tongxin Lake, where outstanding figures gather, the Hunan SanShen Group held its highly anticipated "2018 Sustainable Development Symposium" on July 2022 at the Tongxin Lake Hotel in You County's Jiubu River area.

On the morning of July 21, the red sun rose steadily. The 2018 "Sustainable Development" seminar hosted by Hunan SanShen Group was grandly held at the Tongxin Hotel in Jiubujiang, You County. Special guests attending the meeting included: Major General Liu Qilun, a full-bureau-level officer and writer from National University of Defense Technology; Professor Xie Chenggang, also a full-bureau-level officer and professor at the same university; Zhang Dongxiang, former member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of Hunan Telecom Line Bureau; Wang Bo, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Committee and Chairman of the Federation of Industry and Commerce in Lushong District, Zhuzhou City; Li Zehui, former Secretary of the Party Branch and Director of Zhuzhou City Line Bureau; as well as renowned calligrapher Zhang Shiquan. Joining the event were key figures from SanShen Group, including Chairman Cao Qinghua, General Manager of Shengtong Optoelectronic Technology Company Liu Jianxun, General Manager of ShenHua Real Estate Company Zhong Xuejun, and General Manager of Shenyu Investment Company Liu Yongsheng. Also present were deputy general managers from the three major companies, all members of the Shengtong Optoelectronic Party branch, heads and deputy heads of various departments, core middle- and lower-level management personnel, and shareholder representatives—totaling over 200 participants who gathered to jointly discuss SanShen Group's sustainable development initiatives!

At 8:30 a.m., Chairman Cao Qinghua delivered the company’s opening remarks, first extending a warm welcome to all the distinguished guests in attendance, second clarifying the purpose and significance of this seminar, and third urging all employees to cherish this hard-earned opportunity for learning.

 

It is reported that the high-profile seminar, vigorously organized by SanShen Group this time, was meticulously prepared over the past month under the guidance of company leaders by the event team. Comprehensive and detailed arrangements were made across the board—ranging from curriculum design and faculty recruitment to material preparation and schedule planning. The ultimate goal is to build a robust middle-level management team within SanShen Group: one characterized by strong ideological qualities, outstanding technical capabilities, and superior managerial expertise. This team will play a pivotal role in steering the company’s employees toward proactive leadership in an increasingly competitive environment, especially as the organization undergoes structural adjustments and transformative upgrades. Ultimately, this initiative aims to ensure the company’s sustainable growth and help it continue writing new chapters of success.

First, Chairman Cao Qinghua delivered an impassioned speech titled "How to Leverage Our Individual Strengths to Contribute to the Company's Sustainable Growth," outlining the relevant provisions of the Company Law as well as the rights and responsibilities of shareholders. He also shared the company’s history, current status, and its future vision and goals, clearly defining the historical mission and responsibilities of the company’s management team, along with the organization’s core cultural values. Additionally, he emphasized that the company should leverage "technology leadership" as its key strategy to build a top-notch R&D team capable of mastering cutting-edge manufacturing technologies, while simultaneously aligning closely with "market demands" to cultivate a robust and highly effective marketing force.

The entire morning’s speech was packed with valuable insights. The Chairman, leading by example and striving for both personal and collective success, captivated everyone with his broad-mindedness, genuine and down-to-earth demeanor, and witty, humorous way of speaking. He shared the remarkable journey of SanShen Company over the past two decades—through thick and thin—and kept the audience fully engaged every step of the way. As attendees listened to the Chairman’s inspiring vision of SanShen’s grand future blueprint, they were deeply moved, igniting a renewed sense of determination and passion to work harder than ever before in pursuit of the company’s glory. At the same time, everyone couldn’t help but reflect on how they could leverage their unique strengths in their daily roles, contributing even more vibrantly to SanShen’s next two decades of growth and success!

After a brief midday break, Liu Jianxun, General Manager of Tongshen Optoelectronics, presented a PPT titled "Standardization, Systematization, and Intelligentization: Building a Modern Tongshen Optoelectronics." He passionately introduced the concept of the "Three Transformations," emphasized the necessity of implementing them, and shared practical strategies for driving and executing this vision. To conclude, he provided a live demonstration of Tongshen Optoelectronics' cutting-edge ERP system currently being rolled out across the company. Through watching several videos and examining classic case studies demonstrated by General Manager Liu, all employees gained a profound understanding of why it’s crucial to stay ahead of the curve, build robust IT platforms, and prioritize technological innovation. In today’s fiercely competitive market—and amid the rapid advancements in information technology and intelligent systems—we risk falling further behind if we cling to outdated methods and mindsets, remaining stagnant and rigidly adhering to conventional practices.

Next, Zhong Xuejun, General Manager of Shenhua Real Estate, delivered a speech titled "Operating with Integrity, Striving for Excellence, and Pursuing a Century-Old Brand Developer." He emphasized that for a modern real estate development company to achieve sustainable growth and establish itself as a renowned, trustworthy brand, it must prioritize quality in the marketplace, earn a stellar reputation through honesty and integrity, and adhere strictly to laws and regulations. Shenhua Real Estate remains firmly committed to its core philosophy: "Creating Timeless Masterpieces, Building Shenhua for Centuries to Come." In his speech titled "Strengthen Training and Learning to Strive for Higher Management Standards," delivered by Liu Yongsheng, General Manager of Shenyu Investment, he emphasized that training should be a long-term, ongoing, and effective endeavor. He highlighted that enhancing training and learning is one of the most direct ways to improve employees' professional capabilities—and also an urgent necessity for elevating overall business performance. Additionally, he outlined four key elements for boosting management effectiveness: deepening learning to foster a strong sense of ownership; cultivating a mindset of innovation; demonstrating robust execution skills; and developing exceptional coordination and communication abilities.

Following this, Cai Yongjiu, Executive Deputy General Manager of Shentong Optoelectronics, delivered a speech titled "Creating Value, Achieving Yourself," sharing insights on how to become an outstanding sales professional. Mr. Cai’s presentation was both insightful and engaging, featuring clear explanations accompanied by vivid visuals and interspersed with several amusing anecdotes. He highlighted the critical role sales personnel play in driving company success, unveiled the "Four Fundamental Divine Skills" and the "Six Veins Divine Sword" that define top-performing salespeople, and outlined clear career pathways for employees. His talk not only provided a dynamic and inspiring lesson for the company’s sales team but also encouraged everyone to stay true to their original aspirations, keep moving forward, roll up their sleeves, and work diligently toward becoming exceptional sales professionals.

After the halftime break, the deputy general managers of Shentong Optoelectronics' three major business divisions—optical cables, power cables, and automotive wires—each delivered a speech.

 

The title of Zhao Chunhe's speech from the Optical Cable Division was "Strive to Become Masters of a Great Nation and Steadfastly Embrace Our Era's Noble Mission." He elaborated extensively on the essence of the craftsman spirit, encouraging everyone to keep their mission firmly in mind, remain committed to relentless effort, and become the new generation of young professionals capable of shouldering great responsibilities—thus contributing their youthful energy to the SanShen Group.

In his speech titled "Deeply Cultivating Technological Innovation to Continuously Enhance Core Competitiveness," Zhao Huaishun from the Power Cable Division mentioned that Shuntong Optoelectronics will strive to build a robust platform for technological innovation, aiming to develop comprehensive solution capabilities under the "2+1+3+5" framework. Specifically, "2" refers to two key bases—Specialty Cable Base and Optical Fiber Cable Base; "1" represents one central hub—the Irradiation Center; "3" signifies three strategic tiers, focusing on the national-level emerging fields of military-civilian integration, high-speed railways, and new energy; and "5" stands for five major industrialization initiatives: irradiation cross-linked cable production, halogen-free low-smoke flame-retardant cable production, high-end eco-friendly cables for home decoration, mineral-insulated fire-resistant cable production, and high-temperature cable industrialization.

The Automotive Wiring Division's Wang Quan delivered a speech titled "Pragmatic and Diligent Lean Production, Striving for a First-Class Management Team." He elaborated on five key aspects: the role of workshop management, the mission and responsibilities of workshop leaders, daily workshop operations, functional workshop management, and standardized management. Through his presentation, he highlighted the critical importance of grassroots-level management.

Finally, Huang Qiang, Assistant to the General Manager of Shentong Optoelectronics, delivered a speech titled "Standing at the Forefront of the Three-Pronged Fleet: Setting Sail to Usher in a Brilliant Chapter," outlining why the company is embracing system integration, highlighting the benefits of信息化 (information technology integration), and providing an update on the company’s current system status. While the company’s existing systems still lag behind industry-leading levels of信息化, he emphasized that with collaborative efforts across departments, a shift in mindset, and the adoption of new habits, Shentong Optoelectronics will undoubtedly succeed in strengthening its信息化 infrastructure—providing robust efficiency and data support for the operation of the company’s new base.

The day's internal learning session was tightly scheduled and packed with valuable content. After listening to the speeches by our leaders, everyone felt deeply inspired—and at the same time realized that the establishment of SanShen Group not only marks the beginning of a brand-new journey for the company, but also underscores that each individual should stay committed to their own roles, work diligently behind the scenes, continuously learn, and strive to improve themselves, ultimately contributing their strength to the sustainable growth of SanShen Group.

 

“There are no perfect individuals—only perfect teams.” Most management issues stem from internal team dynamics, often reflecting a lack of competitiveness within the group. In today’s new era, collaboration and mutual success have become the defining themes of development, compelling us to cultivate a strong team spirit, foster seamless teamwork, leverage each other’s strengths, and advance together for shared growth.

On the morning of the 22nd, Professor Ma Yiming, a visiting professor at the University of Macau, conducted our training session titled "Building High-Performing Teams." Over nearly four hours, he discussed key topics such as what constitutes a team, interpersonal relationships within teams, fostering team spirit, enhancing execution capabilities, and strategies for cultivating teamwork. His insights helped us grasp the characteristics and methodologies for building effective teams, ultimately strengthening our core competitiveness and enabling us to create high-performing teams.

After the lunch break, all participants split into two groups to discuss and exchange ideas on the learning content and personal insights gained over the past two days. Everyone found much to reflect upon, eagerly sharing their thoughts and actively contributing suggestions aimed at advancing the company's development.

Mr. Cai mentioned that as the company continues to grow, each of us should deeply reflect on whether we can keep pace with the company’s development. He also pointed out that currently, our power cable production capacity is limited, making sales particularly challenging—a significant hurdle for the marketing team. Moving forward, we’ll organize training sessions to help everyone gain a deeper understanding of the company’s products.

Vice President Wang Daqing stated that the Chairman, in his speech, outlined a visionary blueprint for SanShen's future development. We should reject impatience, embrace the spirit of craftsmanship, and in the coming years, ensure our cable products cover the full range of varieties and specifications. Additionally, we must attract specialized talent in advanced optical cables to inject fresh momentum into the growth of the Cable Business Division.

 

After a lively discussion, this seminar drew to a near-perfect close. Several invited guests took the stage to share their impressions from the past two days of attendance, while also expressing their best wishes for the future development of San Shen Group.

 

Wang Bo, Vice Chairman of the Lusong District CPPCC and Chairman of the Federation of Industry and Commerce, extended greetings on behalf of the District Committee and Government, and presented SanShen Group with three key words that encapsulate their vision: First, "Commitment"—symbolizing the Federation of Industry and Commerce's pledge to deliver precise, timely, and efficient services, ensuring that everyone at SanShen feels a strong sense of belonging.
